Empowering Parents: Supporting Children with SEN and Non-SEN Needs

  • 72 Steps

About

This CPD-accredited programme is designed to empower parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), whether diagnosed or undiagnosed. Grounded in trauma-informed practice and safeguarding compliance, the course equips parents with practical tools, emotional resilience strategies, and an understanding of their legal rights when navigating the education, healthcare, and social systems. Parents will explore how to advocate effectively for their child, access available support, and respond to common challenges such as school exclusion, bullying, emotional outbursts, or communication breakdowns. With a focus on empowerment rather than blame, this course reframes SEN parenting as a strength-based journey rooted in compassion, knowledge, and advocacy.
